Thanksgiving Every Day
Thanksgiving. Not only is it an annual November feast that we gather together with family and friends for, it’s part and parcel of what it means to be a Christian. To give thanks to God. To notice the things in our lives that are given to us.
But giving thanks isn’t always easy. Of course, we’re quite good at taking things for granted. It takes some focus to stop, notice, and give thanks. You have to slow yourself down a bit. Our little 11-month old little boy forces me to slow down – and notice things like the falling leaves and the joyful little bouncing he does when he hears a familiar song. What helps you to slow down and give thanks?
As we prepare to give thanks this November, I encourage you to find one new way to make gratitude an everyday part of your life.
