Randolph Heights is thrilled to (at the last minute) welcome to our pulpit this upcoming Sunday, October 4th, the current Moderator of our denomination, the Presbyterian Church (USA), Rev. Bruce Reyes-Chow.

It’s World Communion Sunday, and we will be celebrating together our unity with the church around the world! Look forward to songs from the global church, and breads from many cultures filling the communion table.

In that spirit of unity, though the service will be at RHPC, this special service is a joint worship service with our friends from Edgcumbe Presbyterian Church.

He brings a hopeful new perspective to the church and is a new breed of moderator. Bruce blogs. He “tweets”. He’s on Facebook. He has an internet radio show. Many in the PC(USA) feel that he understands “the way the world is changing, so he can help us feel less anxious and less resistant to change.”  When he’s not busy being the Moderator, Bruce is the pastor of a new church development in San Francisco mostly made up of folks under 40 called Mission Bay Community Church.
