The View from Here March 2, 2011

Happy March!

We are in that hard time of year when the seasons are in conflict.  We’ve gone from about 50 degrees to a minus 3 degrees within a week…and I heard on the weather last night that in another week, we could get another 6 to 12 inches of snow.  The weather guy said that “that’s what it’s looking like now, but that’s a long ways a way…so we’ll know more as this week progresses.”  Small comfort there.

Even one who loves winter and snow like me, is not looking forward to another 6 to 12 inches of snow.  And this time of year, the snow typically is not light and fluffy, easy to push out of the way.  It is usually a heavy, wet snow that is difficult to push around, let alone scoop shovel by shovel.  But, it will be what it will be, and none of us has control over the weather–we just need to take it as it comes, and do the best we can with it. It doesn’t do any good to worry about it.

The “storm” may stay south, or it may go north, it may loose its punch over the mountains–who knows.  Worrying about it today, will do us no good next week, and it will get in the way of our productivity TODAY.

The question for us today, is “What is God doing in your life right now?”  Pay attention to that today, and tomorrow will take care of itself.

Grace and Peace,
